TRUFFLE SALT SILKY MASHED POTATOES
Silky, buttery and beautifully aromatic
These luxurious mashed potatoes are enriched with butter and milk, then finished with truffle salt for a subtle earthy depth. Blending the potatoes creates an exceptionally smooth, velvety texture that elevates this classic side dish.
Ingredients (Serves 4)

1 kg potatoes - 5 medium approx.(such as Sebago, Yukon Gold, or other floury potatoes)

60 g butter
-
120 ml milk, warmed

1–1½ tsp organic black truffle salt (adjust to taste)

Freshly cracked black pepper (optional)
Method

Cook the potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut into evenly sized chunks. Place in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 15–18 minutes, or until the potatoes are very tender when pierced with a fork. -
Drain and dry
Drain the potatoes well and return them to the warm pot for a minute or two to allow excess moisture to evaporate. -
Mash and enrich
Add the butter and begin mashing the potatoes. Gradually pour in the warm milk while continuing to mash until smooth. -
Blend for extra smoothness
For an ultra-silky texture, briefly blend the potatoes using a stick blender or stand mixer until smooth and creamy. -
Season
Stir through the truffle salt and taste, adjusting the seasoning if needed. Finish with freshly cracked black pepper if desired.
